Payment Options:
Online: You can now pay your property taxes online via card or electronic check. Please note, cards have a 2.8% processing fee, and electronic checks have a flat fee based on the check amount. These convenience fees are paid directly to the payment processing company.
In-Person: We continue to accept cash or check payments at the Township Office during regular business hours, at no charge, and we have an afterhours drop box to the right of the front door available for your convenience.
By Mail: Please note, due to the fluctuating reliability of the mail service, please make sure to mail your taxes in, with plenty of time to spare, if you are unable to drop them off or pay online. Feel free to call if it has been a little time, and your check has not cleared to make sure I have gotten it. I would be more than happy to check! We do not waive added interest/penalties and are not responsible for non-payment of taxes if the check arrives late or never arrives at our office. I am also very willing to take installment payments, during the tax season if that makes it easier for your budget. Call, email me, or stop down with any questions!
Previously Posted re: Summer Tax Season:
Reminder bills are being mailed out for the first time this week. This is a good way to “remind” residents, if their tax bill has been overlooked. The next opportunity to do so is with the winter tax bill December 1st, and at that point, a couple more months of interest will have been added. I appreciate any feedback on this new process.
Summer property tax bills were mailed on or before July 1 and are due by September 14. Given that September 14 falls on a Sunday this year, payments will be accepted without penalty until Monday, September 15. Starting Tuesday, September 16, 2025 interest will be added.
