ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE STARTING APRIL 11, 2025 — Richland / Ross Townships

Road:  G Avenue – 28th Street to 38th Street (Richland / Ross Townships)
Current Status:  Traffic control signage is anticipated to be set up on 4/14.
Detour:  G Avenue will be closed to through traffic at 28th Street during phase 1 of the project. The detour route is 32nd Street and Gull Road. 
Project Information:  Center left turn lane construction at 5 intersections along G Avenue at 28th Street, 31st Street, 32nd Street, 35th Street, and 38th Street. Project includes road widening for turn lanes, paving, and drainage improvements, including some ditching. 
Start Date:  April 11, 2025
End Date:  August 31, 2025

For the safety of road workers, individuals not obeying Kalamazoo County Road Commission posted street and speed signs and road closure signs will be fined by law enforcement.
